Is Khelif a woman facing exploitation or a biological male who shouldn't compete against women?

The Spin

Left narrative

Khelif is a woman, not transgender, and deserves protection from political exploitation that has caused her psychological trauma. Mandatory genetic testing risks oversimplifying biology and exposing all women to invasive scrutiny without clear scientific evidence that natural testosterone offers decisive advantages. Boxing relies on intelligence, experience and discipline — not hormone levels — and women with natural biological variations shouldn't be pushed out of sports.

Right narrative

Khelif has XY chromosomes, high testosterone and experienced male pubertal development — making him biologically male where it matters in sports. The Olympics have stripped medals from female athletes for doping with performance-enhancing hormones, so the same rules should apply here. This is about science, consistency and preventing men from hitting women in the face.
