This shambles of a reshuffle shows that Merz is not cut out for the chancellorship. The cowardice he has demonstrated during this process, coupled with broken promises, has shattered both public trust in his government and his political authority. It is well past time that Merz reconsider his position, as Germany deserves better than a chancellor who can't handle the job.
