This impeachment push is a sham, and it deserves to die on the House floor like the dozen failed war powers votes before it. Hegseth has rebuilt a military gutted by Democrats, sent the cartels running, put Maduro in custody and delivered exactly what the president hired him to do. Standards, morale and recruitment are all up, so punishing that record is absurd.

Establishment-critical narrative

Nobody gets to treat the War Powers Resolution as optional. Hostilities in Iran have dragged on for the past 90 days with no declaration, no authorization and no imminent threat and have continued even after both chambers ordered the troops home. Add at least 221 killings at sea, strikes on survivors, and retaliation against a senator for protected speech and accountability is the only option.
