The Spin

Anti-North Korea narrative

North Korean soldiers were sent to fight in Russia's war without being told where they were going, and many chose to blow themselves up rather than be captured because their own government taught them that surrender is treason. These troops were victims of state coercion, stripped of any real choice, cut off from their families and deployed as cannon fodder. Praising suicide attacks as "heroism" doesn't honor sacrifice, it exposes a regime that treats its own soldiers as disposable.

Pro-North Korea narrative

North Korean soldiers fought with extraordinary courage in Kursk, choosing death over dishonor and carrying soil from their homeland into battle. The liberation of Kursk proved that Russia and North Korea together can push back against Western-backed aggression, and the memorial museum stands as permanent proof of that bond. This alliance delivered real results on the battlefield and deserves recognition as a legitimate act of national defense.
