The Spin

Right narrative

Few people understand how Washington really works better than someone who stood at that podium every day and took the toughest questions in the business. Viewers deserve commentary from someone who was actually in the room when decisions were made, not endless speculation from pundits guessing from the outside. Bringing that kind of firsthand candor to a national audience is a win for anyone who wants straight talk about politics.

Left narrative

A revolving door this fast and this frictionless shows there was never much daylight between the podium and the network in the first place. Someone who spent the job attacking reporters and stonewalling legitimate questions is a strange choice to be sold to audiences as sharp political insight. Keeping a super PAC paycheck while cashing is partisan messaging with a studio behind it.
