The Spin

Anti-Trump narrative

Judge Barber was correct to toss this suit because there was zero evidence of actual malice, just like every other media lawsuit Trump has filed. The pattern is undeniable — suits against CNN and several other media outlets have all failed. Weaponizing defamation law against a free press is a direct threat to press freedom and democracy.

Pro-Trump narrative

The mainstream media has spent years pushing narratives built on anonymous sources to take down Trump and his allies. These lawsuits are meant to expose those biases and the harms they cause. Holding dishonest media outlets legally accountable is a defense against coordinated political hit jobs.
