The Spin

Anti-Iran narrative

Hezbollah's reckless warmongering is costing innocent Lebanese lives — even Christians with zero ties to the conflict. Pierre Moawad and his wife, Flavia, are dead because Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into yet another war it didn't choose. A lawless armed group shouldn't get to decide when an entire country goes to war.

Anti-Israel narrative

Pierre Mouawad and the party of which he was a member are staunchly anti-Hezbollah, and the Lebanese Forces have collaborated with Israel in the past. Still, this has not stopped Israel from displacing and murdering Lebanese Christians, whom it seeks to use as a proxy against Hezbollah. Of course, Israel's strategy of sectarian divide and rule will fail.
