Syria's border troop deployments are purely defensive measures to protect national security and prevent being dragged into regional conflict, not aggressive moves toward Lebanon. The government has repeatedly assured neighboring leaders that these forces exist only to control borders and block Iranian weapons transit routes that could destabilize the country. Damascus has worked pragmatically with Lebanon despite mutual suspicions, and any intervention remains unlikely given Syria's fragile state and lack of appetite for foreign entanglements after the Assad era.
It's obvious that al-Sharaa, on behalf of his masters in Washington and Tel Aviv, is planning to invade Lebanon in an attempt to crush the resistance. Given that al-Sharaa and his ilk are sectarian extremists who once fought for al-Qaeda, every Lebanese, regardless of sect, should worry about Syria's intentions. Not only is Hezbollah trying to prevent Israel from stealing and ethnically cleansing the south, but it must also manage U.S.-installed regimes in Damascus and Beirut that seek to undermine its legitimate fight against American imperialism.
