The Spin

Anti-Israel narrative

Israel's expanding invasion of southern Lebanon has already killed over 1,238 people, displaced 1.2 million and now claimed the life of a 28-year-old UN peacekeeper. Dozens of Israeli tanks have been struck by Hezbollah resistance fighters, exposing the offensive as a costly overreach. Targeting journalists and peacekeepers alike, this campaign is a reckless escalation with no legitimate security justification.

Pro-Israel narrative

Hezbollah fired over 1,000 rockets and drones at Israeli civilians, forcing this necessary expansion of the security zone to push missile fire away from the border. Northern Israeli communities have endured weeks of near-constant cross-border attacks, and the IDF's advance is the only credible path to lasting protection. Letting Hezbollah rearm unchecked — as happened after 2000 — is a proven recipe for catastrophe that Israel simply cannot repeat.
