ICE Agents Suspended After Video Contradicts Minneapolis Shooting Details

Did ICE agents lie to justify shooting an unarmed man or is this situation indicative of the dangers of enforcing immigration laws?

The Spin

Left narrative

Clearly, ICE agents flat-out lied about the shooting, and the video proves it. Footage shows Sosa-Celis tossing a shovel aside as he ran — no attack, no bludgeoning, just a man fleeing. The whole "attempted murder" narrative DHS pushed was fabricated to justify shooting an unarmed person in the leg.

Right narrative

Mistakes like this are bound to happen when ICE officers are facing a massive surge in assaults and sanctuary politicians are demonizing federal law enforcement — directly fueling that violence. Without local police cooperation, enforcement operations become dangerously unpredictable — a formula for disaster.
