The Spin

Left narrative

The smear campaign against the Bidens was built on fabricated lies — the FBI informant who claimed Joe and Hunter Biden took $5 million each in Burisma bribes pleaded guilty to making it all up. Republicans ran a whole impeachment inquiry on a story cooked up by someone with ties to Russian intelligence who admitted to bias against Biden as a candidate. The press gave the accusations wall-to-wall coverage, then went quiet the moment the truth came out.

Right narrative

Hunter Biden winning a $1.7 million defamation judgment doesn't erase years of documented misconduct — the laptop, the tax and gun charges, and a presidential pardon from his own father that reeked of political favoritism. A default judgment handed down because the defendant didn't show up in court is hardly a ringing vindication. Rebuilding a public image on social media doesn't change the underlying record that courts and prosecutors spent years examining.
