The Greens are proving they're no longer a wasted vote while momentum shifts away from the far-right. Voters want real change and the Gorton victory demonstrates that a real left-wing party remains alive in Britain. It is no surprise that more and more people are supporting the politics of hope over hatred and the status quo.
The Green's only success so far is repackaging Reform's populism under a progressive veil. Grassroots momentum is one thing, but what is the party's realistic plan for governance? Many are understandably disillusioned, but to try and win their vote through offering ideals that cannot be delivered will only serve to divide and undermine Britain even further.
Polling is notorious for its below-average representation of Reform support. Yet with Reform, the Conservatives and now Rupert Lowe's "Restore UK" at risk of splitting a clear lead in the polls, Britain's right must be wary of fractured factionalism leading to ideological surrender to dangerous liberals at the next general election.
