Glasgow Central Station Closed After Vape Store Fire

Is it too early to determine the cause of the fire or is there evidence that vape batteries may have triggered the blaze?

The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

Despite the considerable size of the blaze at its height, the fire has been brought under control thanks to the efforts of over 200 firefighters and their capabilities. In line with protocol, the authorities will launch a multi-agency investigation into the incident. It would be wrong, therefore, for the SFRS to speculate on what might have triggered the fire at such an early stage.

Establishment-critical narrative

Video evidence suggests that vape batteries likely caused, or at least significantly worsened, this disaster, especially after someone made the catastrophic mistake of attempting to extinguish an electrical fire with water. If so, immediate regulatory action is required to restrict where vendors can sell these dangerous products to prevent any similar recurrence.
