The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

As far as Zelenskyy has been told, he is not connected in any way to these allegations and anti-corruption investigators don't have any questions for him. Mudra, like everyone else, was dismissed as soon charges of corruption came to light as Zelenskyy has been clear that it's not tolerated and that he will uphold the independence of anti-corruption investigators.

Establishment-critical narrative

Mudra is only the latest person from Zelenskyy's inner circle to be charged in connection with corruption investigations. Though he will have an answer ready, Zelenskyy needs to honestly tell the Ukrainian people whether or not he had any awareness of these corrupt schemes.
