DOJ Pays Flynn $1.25M to Settle Prosecution Lawsuit

Is the DOJ's $1.25M Flynn settlement overdue justice or a taxpayer-funded political payoff?

The Spin

Right narrative

This settlement is long-overdue accountability for one of the most egregious abuses of federal power in American history. Flynn was targeted, bankrupted and nearly destroyed by partisan officials who weaponized law enforcement to undermine the Trump administration. The Russia collusion narrative was always a lie and this settlement proves the deep state's witch hunt was unjust.

Left narrative

Flynn pleaded guilty twice to lying to the FBI, yet taxpayers are now handing him a brazen political payoff, rewarding his misconduct and undermining the rule of law. This follows a pattern of the Trump DOJ funneling taxpayer money to political allies. Accountability shouldn't depend on who you know, and rewriting history to benefit those who violated the public trust is absolutely indefensible.
