The Spin

Right narrative

The idea that Big Tech has handed itself fully over to MAGA is a narrative overblown in the extreme by the media. The reality is that the tech space is still predominantly populated by left-leaning individuals. As such, while major tech companies have entered a marriage of convenience with Trump for now, it could swing back sooner than many think if it fails to deliver.

Left narrative

Big Tech doesn't just tolerate Trump, it has practically sprinted to serve him, ditching DEI, gutting fact-checkers and handing over millions in inauguration cash to lock in regulatory favors and tax advantages. In doing so, these companies have reshaped their products and policies around political loyalty, rather than principle, signifying the full MAGA capture of the tech world.
