Drilling for oil in disputed waters while a sovereignty dispute sits unresolved at the U.N. is an irresponsible move that Judge Borruto is right to halt. A 1965 U.N. resolution told both sides to negotiate and avoid unilateral moves, so pumping crude out of the South Atlantic before any deal is settled makes a mockery of that. No environmental review, no legitimate claim, no drilling.
