Is this buying Congressional loyalty to Israel or is scrutiny of Jewish lawmakers fueling dangerous antisemitism?

The Spin

Pro-establishment narrative

Calling every congressional trip to Israel a bribe ignores why these visits exist — to give lawmakers firsthand exposure to one of America's closest allies and the complex security realities shaping the region. It's no surprise that as antisemitic lies spread, many Jewish and pro-Israel lawmakers have faced a surge of harassment and threats. Amid growing polarization and misinformation, it's more important than ever for policymakers to understand the facts on the ground.

Establishment-critical narrative

It seems the only way Israel can keep Congressional support for its annihilation of Gaza is for AIPAC to pay lawmakers. Millions for luxury trips, complete stays at five-star hotels and briefings from Netanyahu himself are bribes dressed up as diplomacy. With 80% of Democrats and 60% of all Americans now holding unfavorable views of Israel, these junkets expose just how disconnected Congress is from the people it represents.
