The Spin

Left narrative

Gun violence kills 125 Americans every single day, and Congress still refuses to act. Expanding background checks, banning assault weapons and closing loopholes in the background check system are proven, common-sense steps that the majority of Americans actually support. Letting the gun lobby dictate federal policy while families get buried is a moral failure no elected official should be allowed to hide from.

Right narrative

Bloomberg-funded polls are designed to manufacture the illusion of public support for gun control, not uncover real solutions. Murder rates are hitting record lows without a single new gun law passed — because enforcing existing laws against criminals actually works. Disarming law-abiding citizens while ignoring criminal behavior has never made anyone safer, and rigged surveys can't change that reality.
