The Spin

Republican narrative

The federal government will do whatever is necessary to calm these rioters who are obstructing federal law enforcement and vandalizing property with "kill ICE" graffiti under false pretenses established by Democratic sanctuary politicians spreading false claims. Detainees receive three meals a day, full medical care and complete due process, making the outrage built on deliberate misinformation.

Democratic narrative

These protesters are exercising their freedom of speech and Democratic politicians are describing conditions that they've seen with their own eyes. Delaney Hall is a humanitarian disaster, where detainees are living under horrible conditions and a Haitian man even died. Detainees with valid visas and legal status are being locked up in violation of court orders and constitutional rights. Delaney Hall must be closed.
