It's outrageous that foreign teenagers, who posed no threat to national security and had earned their place in a baseball championship through regional tournaments, were denied U.S. visas solely because of their nationality. If anyone still had any doubt, it's now clear that these broad travel restrictions are disgraceful.

At first, one may think that visa denials for a group of teenage baseball players go too far. However, it's crucial to understand that Trump imposed travel restrictions on Venezuelans due to their home country's lack of a competent or cooperative central authority for passports and civil documents, as well as a lack of appropriate screening and vetting measures.
