The MAGA bubble is beginning to pop. As this Pew survey shows, Trump's decisive 2024 Latino support is collapsing as the Trump administration aggressively enacts its deportation policy. The GOP realignment theory looks dead, and Democrats could see an opening in 2026 if they can successfully appeal to these shifting voters.
Pro-Trump narrative
Trump will always be concerned if polling shows dissatisfied voters, but these numbers are heavily distorted by relentless negative media framing of lawful immigration enforcement — a pattern identical to the coverage of this very survey as outlets conveniently ignore that Hispanic Republicans rate today’s economy far higher than under Biden. Trump is just starting to fulfill his promises and his strong support from Latino voters will continue moving forward.
