The Spin

Left narrative

Hernandez's victories showcase her dedication and skill in the face of vile bigotry, proving trans girls belong in sports. Her peers' support, not the mention the lack of evidence for trans athletes dominating or causing harm, debunks Republican-led fear-mongering. Critics, however, who are backed by Trump's divisive rhetoric, have insisted on unfairly targeting trans youth, ignoring science and fairness to push a discriminatory agenda.

Republican narrative

Hernandez's victories highlight the unfairness of allowing males in girls' sports. Trans girls, despite identifying as female, retain all the physical advantages that displace deserving girls from podiums, scholarships, and titles. Republicans are rightly challenging policies that erode Title IX protections, prioritizing biology and fairness over ideology. At the end of the day, it's liberal parents and politicians who are hurting these children, both Hernandez and his female counterparts.
