    The Spin

    Right narrative

SCOTUS' decision will protect children from sexually explicit materials in public libraries. The Fifth Circuit correctly ruled that removing pornographic content from kids' sections doesn't violate the First Amendment. Communities across America can now reclaim local standards and shield children from inappropriate sexual content masquerading as literature.

    Left narrative

SCOTUS has eliminated First Amendment protections for library patrons, creating a censorship regime. Books were removed based on ideological objections to LGBTQ+ content and discussions of race, not legitimate curatorial concerns. Public libraries will transform from centers of open inquiry into government-controlled indoctrination centers if this book banning continues.
