Republican narrative
Temper tantrums and theatrics have become the norm for Democrats, who can't seem to accept their status as the minority party in the Senate and can't muster a coherent argument against policies and nominees they oppose. Booker even acknowledged Grassley had the right to deny Democrats more time, so the walkout was just another bit of needless drama.
Democratic narrative
Republicans clearly have something they want to hide from the public about Bove. Otherwise, they would've allowed the proper time to further vet the nominee and also hear from a whistleblower with some damning testimony about Bove. Republicans have again tarnished democracy by keeping the truth secret, but hopefully the parliamentarian will step in.
