In the heat of breaking news coverage, Matthew Dowd made some comments that were inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable. He has issued an immediate apology, as has the network. We should all come together to condemn violence of this sort in America.
Right narrative
This is so typical of MSNBC and Matthew Dowd. Despite being a Republican strategist years earlier, he has since fomented a career by being one of the most rabid anti-GOP voices on cable news, consistently pushing hateful narratives. He should've been fired long before this incident.
