Key allies continue pushing limits on abortion pills and federal actions that could curb access nationwide. Despite softer messaging, the party's agenda remains closely aligned with anti-abortion activists and policies that could expand restrictions beyond state-level laws.
Conservative narrative
Despite the fall of Roe, abortion totals remain astronomically high, driven in part by expanding access to abortion pills. While some conservatives celebrate court victories and a more limited administrative state, Republican leaders, including Trump, have not translated those wins into policy, allowing telehealth and chemical abortion to expand. The sad reality is the GOP has secured nominal change without delivering meaningful reductions.
