The Facts
An investigation published by Newsweek this week confirmed that America's CIA has been engaged in a clandestine war with Russia since the outset of the war in Ukraine. According to intelligence officials who spoke with the publication, the CIA has taken on an "outsize" role in the conflict but is reportedly losing its grip.
The report is not the first to provide evidence of the CIA's involvement in the war. Last December, an investigation by independent journalist Jack Murphy revealed that the CIA and an undisclosed NATO ally were allegedly together responsible for a number of acts of sabotage including fires and explosions at warehouses, ammunition stores, and fuel depots — as well as train derailments — inside of Russia.

The CIA is playing a very delicate and important role in Ukraine. Not only is it ensuring Ukraine remains armed and that NATO allies are all on the same page, but, most importantly, it's keeping the war from spiraling out of control.
