The Facts
The US House Oversight Committee on Wednesday said it subpoenaed Pres. Joe Biden’s son Hunter and brother James, as well as business associate Rob Walker, as part of its ongoing impeachment inquiry.
The House impeachment inquiry began in September. Members of the Republican majority are looking into accusations that Biden made policy decisions that personally enriched him and his family while he was vice president for Pres. Barack Obama.

The president has lied to the American people about his family's business dealings, and Republicans have proof. It’s important to hear under oath from his family and business partners to get a full picture of how Biden used his political office for financial gains.
Democratic narrative
Republicans have obtained more than 10K pages of financial records and conducted numerous interviews, but they haven’t tied the president to any of his son’s business dealings or found anything the president did wrong. These subpoenas are just a political stunt to try to make it look like something nefarious went on.
