Germany Bans All Hamas Activities and Pro-Palestine Group Samidoun
The Facts
German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser announced a total ban on Hamas activities on Thursday, as well as the dissolution of the pro-Palestinian Samidoun group, which she claimed "spread[s] anti-Israel and antisemitic propaganda."
This move will make any support of both Hamas — designated a terrorist organization by the EU — and Samidoun a criminal offense. Authorities will be allowed to confiscate their assets and ban their internet presence.
