The DOJ have charged Henry 'Michael' Williams with illegally possessing a firearm. It is alleged to be the weapon sold to Malik Faisal Akram, subsequently used to hold four people hostage in a Texas synagogue earlier this month.
Williams was prohibited from dealings with firearms as he had previously been convicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The attack reflects a growing trend of anti-semitic violence and hatred. It is absurd and dangerous to claim otherwise.
Anti-semitic and anti-Muslim hate have both increased in recent years. However, the solidaric response to the events also demonstrates interfaith progress and offers hope for the future.
