The NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to suspend COVID protocols effective immediately.
Players and staff will no longer undergo mandatory surveillance testing and won't be required to wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status.
Players will finally enjoy their personal freedoms. Once the vaccine was released, the NFL and NFLPA should've let players make their own decisions. In fact, all COVID restrictions should've been dropped prior to the 2021 season.
The NFL's protocols successfully navigated the challenges of COVID. Even though some games were delayed, none were cancelled. The virus is still taken seriously--players should still monitor their health and comply with state and local laws. Very importantly, 95% of players and nearly 100% of staff are vaccinated.
