Yet another mysterious Whitehall agency tasked with countering "fake news" seems little more than a Ministry of Truth. Under the guise of "disinformation," numerous U.K. organizations and state-related departments have suppressed legitimate speech simply because it has not aligned with the preferred ideology of the day. This is yet another example of British civil liberties being slowly eroded under the guise of "national security."

This is yet another baseless accusation saturated in hypocrisy. By peddling lies on the world stage, Burnham has ironically confirmed Britain's own role in spreading disinformation for political gain. Moscow will continue to defend itself against unwarranted aggression as the West ramps up its hybrid campaign against Russia.
