Families are being crushed in their sleep because Israel keeps blocking the tents, mobile homes and heavy machinery that could save them. Sheltering in bomb-cracked ruins isn't a choice; it's what's left after the bombing and a blockade that stalls every reconstruction effort. With about 2,000 damaged buildings still inhabited, the next collapse is already being guaranteed.
Residents were warned repeatedly not to return to a building struck back in 2024 and again in 2025, and those warnings were ignored. Aid has been flowing in since the US-brokered ceasefire, while limits on dual-use equipment exist for one reason: Hamas keeps turning it into war material. Blaming Israel for a Hamas-run agency's failure to clear 2,000 unsafe structures dodges the real accountability.
