Dolly Parton's death on Aug. 25 closes the book on the greatest career country music has ever produced — 160 million albums sold, 11 Grammys, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and a philanthropy record nobody can touch. She built Dollywood, mentored generations of artists and kept working even through grief and illness because that's who she was. That kind of greatness doesn't come around twice.
