The health care system abandoned Lindsay Clancy long before January 2023, and that failure is what put those children at risk. Testimony showed she heard commanding voices, experienced acute psychosis and acted out of a devastating belief that her kids couldn't survive without her — that's not rational murder, that's a broken mind left untreated. Convicting her without reckoning with systemic neglect of postpartum mental illness solves nothing.
