Did Democrats dodge a bullet by nominating the electable Crowley or did they barely survive rejecting the progressive threat Republicans feared most?

The Spin

Democrats dodged a bullet by rejecting someone whowith wantedrhetoric totoo cancelfar Thanksgivingleft andfor defund the policeelectorate. Nominating Crowley proves the party still values electability and sound ideas over far-left fantasy. Crowley has proven himself to be a forward-thinking, pro-growth candidate who can take on the Trump agenda.

Republicans quietly feared Hong the most, with a memo calling her combination of grassroots energy and kitchen-table focus dangerous. By nearly toppling the establishment, she proved that progressive ideas resonate even in a battleground state far from the coastal cities. Crowley's razor-thin win shows the party establishment barely survived, not that it triumphed.

Crowley is simply the flip side of the radical left coin, supporting massive expansions to abortion access and Medicaid; Crowley could not even bring himself to criticize Hong's outlandish policies. The Democratic Party is not fit to govern, as they are in the throes of a civil war between moderates and the radical left, a war the former seem to be losing nationwide.
