Russia's attacks are the biggest challenge that's facing Ukraine. The U.S. is aware of this and knows exactly what is needed to help protect Ukraine. Hard political decisions are needed as the supply of interceptors directly correlates with the number of Ukrainian lives saved.
While Ukraine was successfully able to lobby allies for the munitions needed to defend itself, the reality is that those requests are now coming up against the harsh reality that partners need to ensure their own stockpile levels. An even harsher truth is that even if Western countries gave their entire arsenals, Russian missile attacks in the last year outnumber the total number of PAC interceptor missiles delivered globally.
There's a 50% chance there will be a bilateral ceasefire or peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine by November 2027, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
