The Spin

India is actively undermining Bangladesh by letting a convicted mass murderer use Indian soil to spread political venom against a sovereign nation. Allowing Sheikh Hasina to address the media in New Delhi — despite Bangladesh's explicit warnings — is a direct affront to the people who died in the July Revolution. Bangladesh deserves a bilateral relationship built on mutual respect, not one where India shields fugitives from justice.

The Bangladesh regime's furious reaction to a single press conference exposes just how threatened it is by legitimate political opposition. Over 20,000 Awami League members have been jailed, hundreds killed and minority communities terrorized since Hasina's ouster — yet the regime calls her irrelevant while scrambling to silence her. Bangladesh under this government is a repression machine masquerading as a democracy.

Metaculus Prediction
