Jason Arday was investigated by two universities and cleared of every allegation — yet the attacks kept coming. That's not accountability, that's a targeted campaign against a Black man whose success made certain people uncomfortable. The chilling effect this sends to young Black scholars is real and damaging: excel in elite spaces and become a target.
The Arday scandal exposes institutions so captured by progressive ideology that no one dared question increasingly implausible claims. When a fellow academic raised legitimate research integrity concerns, Arday's response was to call the police — a dangerous precedent that threatens the foundation of open scholarly debate. Crying racism to deflect scrutiny doesn't make the questions go away.
