The Spin

Musk's so-called regret rings hollow — DOGE gutted federal agencies, pushed out tens of thousands of workers and leaked sensitive data, all while failing to deliver the promised spending cuts. Tesla is tanking, SpaceX is struggling with investors and Musk is now staggeringly unpopular. This looks less like genuine remorse and more like a PR move to salvage a crumbling empire.

Musk's stepping back from DOGE makes sense. Relentless relentless attacks from radicalthe leftistsleft, including arson at Tesla dealerships, burned out someone who genuinely tried to cut wasteful government spending. DOGE stopped funding that made no sense and saved real money. The left's campaign of harassment, not any failure of mission, is what drove Musk away from public service.
