Board member Prentiss Haney estimated more than 100 agents questioned people affiliated with the group statewide. The FBI's Cleveland office confirmed it conducted "court-authorized law enforcement activity" at the organization on June 11 but declined to comment further.

Agents seized electronic devices, carried subpoenas and asked questions related to alleged voter fraud, according to Haney. Some individuals said agents approached them without warrants, including at their homes and near their workplaces and schools.

U.S. Rep. Shontel Brown, D-Ohio, said her office contacted the FBI demanding information following the raid. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose previously referred hundreds of cases to the Justice Department, citing more than 1,000 noncitizens who appeared to have registered to vote.
