The Spin

The anti-interventionist wing of the MAGA coalition is fracturing under the weight of Trump's Iran war, and Amaryllis Fox Kennedy's resignation from two senior intelligence posts is the clearest sign yet. Kennedy, a former CIA officer who publicly opposed a war with Iran before taking office, couldn't reconcile her principles with the administration's military campaign. This follows Joe Kent's March resignation — the pattern is undeniable.

Kennedy's own resignation statement cited family, not policy — and her internal paperwork doesn't mention Iran at all. Anonymous sources driving this narrative don't change the fact that Gabbard praised her tenure and the administration's intelligence goals stayed on track under her watch. One official quietly disagreeing with a military decision is hardly a coalition collapse.

Is Trump's Iran war fracturing the MAGA coalition or is one resignation far from a collapse?
