Russia's own Defense Ministry confirmed no signs of external impact on the An-26 that crashed in Crimea, killing all 29 on board — meaning this was a Russian military failure, plain and simple. Preliminary data points to a technical issue on a routine flight, exposing deep problems within Russia's military aviation readiness. This is a self-inflicted wound rooted in Russia's inability to maintain its own military hardware.
