The Venezuelan people stand united and firm in demanding the immediate liberation of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by U.S. military troops one month ago. Massive crowds flooded the streets of Caracas to reject the illegal actions perpetrated by the Trump administration and to reaffirm Venezuela's sovereignty and dignity. Despite this difficult month without their leader's wisdom and guidance, the revolutionary spirit remains unshaken and strengthened.
The so-called protests supporting Maduro are nothing but staged propaganda events where state employees are forced to attend or face losing their income or worse. Thirty days ago, genuine street demonstrations for freedom in Venezuela were unthinkable under the dictatorship's grip. Now the country is finally determined to be free and demanding liberty for all political prisoners.
