Federal agents gunned down innocent Americans trying to help their neighbors, exposing the brutality of militarized immigration enforcement. The killings mirror Jim Crow-era state violence and have turned public opinion sharply against ICE, with nearly half of Americans now supporting abolishing the agency entirely.
These tragic deaths were preventable if people hadn't deliberately provoked armed federal officers doing their jobs. Approaching or confronting agents carrying rifles in high-tension situations isn't protest — it's accepting a foreseeable risk of lethal force that comes with poor decision-making.
