The hostile bid comes days after Netflix agreed to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and HBO Max streaming business for $27.75 per share in a cash and stock deal valued at $72 billion, which does not include the Global Networks segment housing CNN, TBS and other cable channels.
