In its ongoing investigation, the FBI has stated that the pipe bombs were placed near the Democratic and Republican national committee headquarters between 7:54 and 8:16 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2021, and discovered between 12:40 and 1:05 p.m. the following day during the Capitol riots.
