Accountability for this government shutdown, and all the harm that will accompany it, rests solely on the Trump administration. Whereas the Democrats are open and eager to engage in productive talks to settle the healthcare crisis, the Republicans are nowhere to be seen. Rather than negotiating like adults, the administration would rather stall the government altogether.
