The Spin

Despite an overwhelming campaign of election interference by the Russians, officials in Chișinău — as well as the major European capitals — will now breathe a major sigh of relief after Moldova's pro-E.U. trajectory got the backing of the people and it can now proceed without hurdles.

If anyone's respondible of election interference, it's the Moldovan government. By closing key polling stations, closing bridges and removing parties from the ballot, they have ensured they got the result they want.

Metaculus Prediction

There's a 15% chance that Moldova will control Transnistria before 2028, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
